A custom printed front cover and spine is available for ring binders. 

The cover and spine are printed on card and inserted into the plastic cover and spine area.

Back covers are plain white by default.

Note: for full access to the Cover Tool feature, please use a desktop or laptop. Functionality is limited on mobile and tablet devices.

To configure your cover and spine, click '4. Cover' and the blue 'Configure' button during the configure & preview stage.

When configuring your ring binder cover and spine, you will have a choice of the following options:

  • None
  • Cover design is included (as page 1 of your file)
  • Upload a cover design
  • Design a cover (using our Cover Design Tool)

If 'none' is selected for your front cover and spine:

  • Review your cover preview
  • Click the 'Confirm' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'go to basket' button

If 'cover design is included' is selected: 

  • Configure your front cover - you can opt to 'move' or 'copy' page 1 (move is recommended in most instances)
  • Configure your spine
  • View your cover in the 'Cover design tool' and click 'Save & continue'
  • Configure your other cover options and click 'Next'
  • Review your 'Cover preview' and click 'Confirm' to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'go to basket' button.
  • If you have chosen to 'design a spine', use the Cover Design Tool to complete this step. If a spine design is created, click 'save & continue'.

If 'upload a cover design' is selected: 

  • Click the 'Upload front cover' button and 'Next' when complete
  • Your cover artwork will be displayed in the 'Cover spread tool'.
  • If necessary, scale or adjust the uploaded cover using the tools provided.
  • When you are happy with the cover, click 'Save & continue'.
  • Configure your cover options and click 'Next'
  • Check the 'Cover preview' and click the 'Confirm' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'go to basket' button

If 'design a cover' is selected:

  • Configure and design your cover and spine (if required) using the Cover Design Tool. When complete, click 'save & continue'.
  • Review your cover options and click 'Next'
  • Your cover artwork will be displayed in the cover preview
  • Click the 'Confirm' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'go to basket' button
