Why Do My Pages Look Wavy?

Why Do My Pages Look Wavy?

Updated this week

We do not print onto wavy pages. All paper used in our production process is dry, flat, and quality-checked before printing.

Why waviness can occur

Paper is a natural material and can react to changes in its environment. During transit, variations in temperature and humidity can sometimes cause pages to appear slightly wavy or rippled.

This effect is not a fault and does not impact the usability of the product or the quality of the print.

Because these environmental changes occur after dispatch, we’re unable to predict when or if this will happen, which is why we ask customers to carry out the steps below once the order has arrived.

As soon as you receive your order, unpack the items and keep in a warm, dry space.

What you can do

In most cases, the pages will settle on their own. To help speed this up, we recommend:

1. Placing the item under a flat, heavy object (such as a stack of books)

2. Keeping it in a warm, dry room

3. Leaving it for 24–48 hours

This allows the paper to relax and return to its normal shape.

When to contact us

If the waviness does not improve after 48 hours, please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to investigate further for you.
