A 300 gsm card cover can be added to the front and back of your document as required. An acetate outer front and back cover is also available.

To configure your covers, click '4. Cover' and the blue 'Configure cover' button during the configure & preview stage.

Note: for full access to the Design Tool feature, please use a desktop or laptop. Functionality is limited on mobile and tablet devices.

You will then be presented with a range of cover options:

Outer front cover / outer back cover

  • None

  • Clear acetate

  • Opaque acetate

Front cover / back cover

  • None

  • Plain cover

  • Cover design is included

  • Upload a cover design

  • Design a cover

If 'none' is selected for front cover or back cover:

  • Review your cover preview

  • Click the 'Confirm' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'Continue' button

If 'Plain cover' is selected for front cover or back cover:

  • Select your card colour for each cover (front and back)

  • Click the 'Continue' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'Go to basket' button

If 'Cover design is included' is selected for front cover or back cover:

  • Configure your front cover - you can opt to 'Move page 1' or 'Copy Page1' (move is recommended in most instances)

  • Configure your back cover - you can opt to 'Move last page' or 'Copy last page' (move is recommended in most instances)

  • View the cover in the 'Design tool' and click 'Save' & then 'Continue'

  • Review your cover preview and select the cover options.

If 'Upload a cover design' is selected for front cover or back cover:

If you have already created your cover artwork as a separate file, it is possible to upload it.

It must be a 1 page PDF only e.g. a 1 page file for your front cover and a 1 page file for your back cover.

  • Ensure your cover artwork adheres to the specified dimensions

  • Click the 'Upload front cover' or 'Upload back cover' button and click 'Next' when complete

  • Your cover artwork will be displayed in the 'Cover spread tool'.

  • If necessary, scale or adjust the uploaded cover using the tools provided.

  • When you are happy with the cover, click 'Save' & then 'Continue'.

  • Check the 'Cover preview' and click the 'Continue' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'Go to basket' button

If 'Design a cover' is selected for front cover or back cover:

  • Configure your cover options

  • Use the Design Tool to design your covers. It is possible to add background colour, images(jpg or png files), shapes and text etc.

  • Click 'Save' & then 'Continue' and configure your cover options.

  • Click the 'Continue' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'Go to basket' button.

If 'Use a template' is selected for front or back cover:

  • Configure your cover options

  • Choose one of the available templates

  • Use the Design Tool to add images, text and shapes.

  • Click the 'Continue' button to return to your full document preview.

  • Check the 'Cover preview' and click the 'Continue' button to return to your full document preview and proceed to checkout using the 'go to basket' button.
